The Idea behind
The careful planning of this modern bungalow house re-interprets the traditional divide of the Ugandan front and back yards to create living spaces that are deeply connected to natural light and the surrounding landscape. To put it simply, the house is modern but borrows its planning ideas from tradition.
The house plan simultaneously achieves privacy for the bedrooms and fluid open spaces for living areas (i.e. open plan living, dining and kitchen areas). This feeling of space is further promoted by the light brought from the skylight at the entrance and generous use of glass throughout the home.
The black bungalow has a contemporary, minimalist exterior look whose design style consists of simple clean lines and uncluttered geometry. Equally the interior is bright, modern with plenty of light colors.
